There is no perfect route to take to reach the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Each route offers unique experiences, so the best choice depends on preferences, fitness, and time availability.
When is the best time to go? One of our favorite times is December, January and February. The little rains are mostly over by mid-December until the heavy rains begin in March. The crowds are not there-it is "slow" season. The busy season is the Northern Hemisphere summer. December, January and February are Tanzania's summer, so the top of Kili is warmest then.
