Central Tanzania has some of the most breathtaking game parks in Africa. This tour hits the highlights.
After a short arrival stay in the shadow of Mount Meru in Arusha, day one is a drive to Tarangire National Park, for a visit and a night's stay in a nearby camp.
Next up is the dramatic Ngorongoro Crater, a large, volcanic caldera whose walled-in plains and wetlands contain an incredible array of wildlife including the 'Big Five,' as well as many other excellent plains game. You'll stay in one of our favourite camps nearby.
The last two days are in the Serengeti, driving in early on Day 3, spending most of the day exploring the wildlife areas in the park. We stay in a Serengeti campground for the night and arise to the East African sunrise. Day 4 is a morning game drive in the park, departing in the afternoon to head back to Arusha to say goodbye.

  • The most incredible adventure, with the most amazing people! Two women, aged 55 and 59, apprehensive of the gruelling journey, but hoping for bragging rights of reaching the top; we anticipated sacrificing all comfort to get there. Instead, we were blown away with the great lengths the team went through to, not only make us comfortable, but make us feel like royalty. Meals were better than I have had in 5-star restaurants. Although summit day was tough, the journey getting there will be what I remember best. I miss the team already!
