Visit Tanrangire's Elephant Herds

Interest Best Times Game Drives/wildlife - Good: December-February

Herd Migration - December-April: in the south of the Serengeti, easily approachable from Arusha
- May-July: in the west Serengeti, toward Lake Victoria
- August-October: in the north Serengeti and Kenya's Mara region
Ngorongoro Crater is virtually good all year round, although March and April are less ideal because of the heavier rains. All the parks have great wildlife viewing during July through October, but the crowds are large.
One of our favorite times is December, January and February. The little rains are mostly over by mid-December until the heavy rains begin in March. The crowds are not there-it is "slow" season. During January and February, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park are excellent for viewing, and Lake Manyara is good. Tarangire National Park is fair.

Itinerary
Big Five Drive 6 Day Safari (Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, Eyasi /Manyara)
Day 1 – Pick up at Kilimanjaro International Airport, transfer to hotel in Arusha, other service if needed.
Day 2 – Day safari in Arusha National Park drive to Tarangire overnight.
Day 3 – Full day game drive in Tarangire with picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight, Lake Manyara
Day 4 – Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater with picnic lunch. Drive to Lake Eyasi for over night.
Day 5 – Early Breakfast, Lake Eyasi Bushman visit, Time permitting - Afternoon short game drive Lake Manyara. Return Drive to Return to Arusha.
Day 6 – Hotel transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport, other service if needed.
